Little Pixie
Productions romped away with the ‘Best Show for Families Award’
at Buxton Festival Fringe 2010 with this new adventure featuring
Granny Flo and Ruby as they head off to the seaside at Darley-on-Sea.
With Flo’s collection
of old postcards, shells and fossils they are transported back to
1938 for a seaside extravaganza with dance, original songs, slapstick
and candy floss!
Horace and Harold are
two deck chair attendants who on a tea break, read the story of the
unclaimed Darley Golden Trophy. As the story unfolds, they take on
the characters of Granny and Ruby and remember Granny’s trips to
the seaside in her youth and of discovering a mysterious cryptic
postcard from 1938. Before long Granny and Ruby are acting out a trip
to the seaside and embarking on the adventure promised in the
postcard.
A gloriously
charming family show.
